The APM COVID Recovery Programme provides support to those recovering from COVID, to manage their ongoing symptoms

The New Zealand Ministry of Health describes long COVID as 'signs and symptoms that continue or develop after acute COVID-19 (four weeks from the initial infection)'.

Though most people who contract COVID-19 will make a full recovery – it is estimated that between 10-30% of people will develop long COVID.

While some international research is showing that as many as 75% of all people hospitalised with COVID-19 will develop it.
