What to expect during your first physiotherapy appointment

Your first appointment is an initial consultation to get as much information as possible about your pain, injury and physiotherapy needs.

Appointments take approximately 30 minutes. If this is your first appointment with APM Physiotherapy Christchurch, please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any paperwork.

If you have more than one injury, please let your physiotherapist know at the start of your first session.

Your physiotherapist will start with an assessment to ensure you get a high-quality, personalised treatment. We focus on giving you the exercises and tools to relieve your pain.

ACC-covered injuries are subsidised. You'll pay a surcharge, and we will lodge a claim for you. For non-ACC injuries, you must pay the full treatment cost.
